Rocío Valle lived and studied both in the USA and in Costa Rica, her native country. She and her husband travelled to more than 35 countries and finally settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, where Rocío worked for several law firms, but then her passion for languages led her to attend the Institute for Court Interpretation at the University of Arizona. Certified as an Administrative Hearing Interpreter by the Judicial Council of the State of California, she began interpreting in a wide variety of venues. However, Rocío found her true vocation in translation so she obtained her certification from the American Translators Association and worked for entities such as the FBI. Eventually, Rocío started her translation agency. Valle Translations acquired a formidable professional team of linguists and expanded to offer translations into several languages. Aside from translating for various enterprises, the company has also given back to the community by providing pro bono translations and serving as mentor to those interested in the field. After 25 years, Valle Translations still handles the translation requirements of its first client ever, PRIDE Industries, and is proud to be a preferred vendor for Blue Shield of California, as well as for several other Bay Area companies.
